While Android 11 is here, Google presents the new major release 4.1 of the development environment Android Studio. The tool for developing Android applications, which is now available via the Stable Channel, not only offers improvements and bug fixes but also has several new functions to make developers’ work easier – including a new motion editor, the Build Analyzer including a new Gradle plug-in and a reworked Layout Inspector.
Good news: If you use the WebViewGold Android Studio app template (or the WeSetupYourWebViewApp service), you do not need to worry about the new APIs or upgrading to the latest build gradle. WebViewGold-based apps look great and are already optimized in terms of all changes 🙂
